A patch for the Qualys Cloud Platform (AssetView 2.11.1, Cloud Agent Platform 1.4.1, and VM/PC 8.7.1) is in the process of being released. This patch introduces several key fixes for the Qualys Cloud Agent such as the release of Linux Agent, Private IP in VM Reporting, and general improvements to Cloud Agent and AssetView.

Highlights

  • Public IP Fix for Cloud Agent – The agent’s internal IP address used for outbound connection to the platform will be the address leveraged by VM and PC, replacing the previous approach leveraging the public or proxy IP address.  Note, to set permission for sub-users, the IP’s must be included in your VM Subscription.
  • Cloud Agent for Linux GA – The Cloud Agent support for Linux is now generally available and will show up in your subscription.  Initial support includes: Red Hat Linux 5.x+, centOS 5.x+, Fedora, SUSE/openSUSE 11 and 12, Debian 7 and 8, and Ubuntu 12, 14 and 15.
  • Suspend Scanning option in Cloud Agent configuration profiles – A new configuration profile option has been added allowing the suspending of manifest scanning to be used for testing and/or troubleshooting.
  • AssetView Search Tips – Search parameters are now dynamically documented and the details will appear as you type search criteria.

The release is now in production on US Platform 1 and US Platform 2. EU Platform availability is scheduled by the end of March.
