Qualys Vulnerability Management Notification: Reference Data Formatting Change

Qualys Vulnerability Management contains key information from OS vendors such as Red Hat advisory references. Red Hat formats their base advisories for patches using the format: RHSA-YYYY:####.

We are updating the Qualys signature library to use the same format to make it easier for customers to correlate the information against the Red Hat advisories. Currently, the format in the Qualys vulnerability data is RHSA-YYYY-####.

Since some customers may be using the data outside the platform, we are providing 30-day notification prior to making this change, allowing you to proactively identify any changes that might be required for your automated scripts or programs that utilize the reference data to be updated.

This change is scheduled to go live on or after April 29, 2016.
