We are pleased to announce Qualys Web Application Scanning 4.9 (WAS) featuring customized global exclusion lists and enhanced reporting with a new, quick and easy scan comparison feature to help you meet your web application scanning needs and meet your business objectives even quicker.

WAS logoNew Features

Customizable Global Exclusion Lists: Many times companies have a desire to exclude sensitive resources that they do not want scanned for any purpose. Sometimes these exclusions are based on URL data, and occasionally by IP. Qualys WAS customers can now have defined exclusions across the whole subscription, as well as the ability to exclude testing based on IP address if desired.

Scan Comparison Feature: WAS customers can now compare results across scans to make coverage identification and metrics as easy as toggling a button. Being able to easily identify differences in coverage from one scan to another can effectively indicate a difference in coverage for a variety of reasons and may dictate additional action from the customer. This may be used for troubleshooting, focusing on new content or simply identifying the differences in scan coverage based on configuration changes.

This release is focused on giving the customer more visibility and flexibility to assist in advancing comprehensive web application scanning programs.
