Prevent Breaches with a Sustainable Continuous Security Program

Corey Bodzin, Qualys, VP of Product Management

Monday, June 23, 1:35 PM

Historically, IT security has revolved around events like Patch Tuesday or Heartbleed. While it is accepted that cybersecurity must move from periodic projects to a continuous process, this evolution has been blocked by insufficient resources to manage the software or analyze the data. This session will showcase how cloud-based QualysGuard Continuous Monitoring helps organizations establish a global continuous security program that is pervasive and resource-efficient, helping them detect threats and prevent breaches.

Rapid Response to Heartbleed : A CISO Panel Discussion

Wolfgang Kandek, Qualys, CTO

Mike Curry, State Street Bank, VP of Information Security

Trace Ridpath, State of Colorado, Interim CISO

Tuesday, June 24, 9:45 AM

Heartbleed hit the Internet without warning, creating havoc and raising awareness from consumers to CEOs. In this session, IT leaders from business and government will discuss how they addressed Heartbleed, how they continue to monitor it, and what lessons were learned that can prepare us for the next inevitable Internet shock. New Heartbleed statistics derived from millions of scans performed by Qualys SSL Labs will also be unveiled.

Cyber-Hygiene Through Continuous Auditing

Jonathan Trull, Qualys CISO

Wednesday, June 25, 11:30 AM

According to the U.S. government, 96 percent of successful breaches can be avoided through basic cyber-hygiene, such as vulnerability and configuration management, but threats evolve so quickly that information security and risk management teams struggle to keep track of their posture. During this session we will discuss how to implement continuous auditing as the cornerstone of an effective cyber-hygiene program. We will also enumerate best practices for achieving cost-effective real-time situational awareness.

Qualys Hospitality Suite at Gartner

In addition to the sessions, Qualys cordially invites you to visit our hospitality suite, Safari on the Serengeti, on Tuesday, June 24 at 5:45 PM.

Put on your khakis and start up the Land Rover, Qualys is taking you on a safari! Let us be your expert guide through the wild world of cybersecurity and the Serengeti. Enjoy themed cocktails and appetizers with your peers as well as unique surprises throughout the evening (sorry, no charging rhinos though!). Your adventure will conclude with a drawing for a 2014 Vespa Scooter.

We hope you can join us!
