Qualys WAS 4.6 Adds SmartScan

We are excited to announce Qualys Web Application Scanning (WAS) 4.6, featuring the new SmartScan feature. SmartScan allows for better crawling and scanning of AJAX-heavy web applications along with enhanced support for Single Page Applications (SPAs) and modern frameworks such as AngularJS and Bootstrap. We are introducing enhanced support for Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and Direct Web Remoting (DWR) as well.

Please note that this is our first phase of these new features and capabilities. We will be releasing many enhancements to SmartScan over time in upcoming WAS versions including, but not limited to; enhanced testing for JSON formatted requests, enhanced URL rewriting support, along with additional JavaScript framework support.

With this release we are also introducing additional sitemap reporting functionality as well as various bug fixes.
